At alexiaCREATIVE, we believe that photography is not just about capturing a moment, but about telling a story. We strive to create images that evoke emotion and capture the essence of our subjects.
We take a personalized approach to every photoshoot, taking the time to understand our clients' vision and needs. Our goal is to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere that allows us to capture authentic and memorable moments.
Alexia has a bachelor's degree in art and photography (and a Master's in Psychology), so we approach photography from creative and thoughtful perspective. We love artistic photography and definitely lean toward a rich color palette and heavy black and whites. Alexia describes the style as photojournalism meets fashion. We truly want to capture your day which has a range of emotions and many very special people, so we work with you to understand your schedule, your family, and the vision for your day.
Alexia's additional work experience as an Executive Assistant and Retail Manager taught her to work in an orderly and efficient manner. We are not checking our own boxes or formulas when photographing your wedding - we keep track of the day and aim to capture all of the things that are or will be meaningful to you through the creative lens.
We're capturing some of your most sentimental and significant moments on your wedding day, so we would love to get to know you beforehand to best tell your story. We will detail your wedding style and schedule, plan family photographs, and explore unique moments, locations, or images you are hoping to create.
More time together means you'll feel more relaxed in front of the camera and we will better understand the best ways to feature you.
Our photography serves to preserve, not over-power the memories you're making. It is our desire that you feel comfortable in all of your images, so the only emotions they evoke are the joy, love, and splendor of your day.
We will provide guidance for posing for portraits created, otherwise, we serve in a photojournalistic manner, watching, waiting, and documenting the perfect moments of your day.
We put considerable effort into providing a dozen same-day previews. When possible, we prefer to deliver printed images; however, our dedication is to photographing the event and if circumstances prevent a tangible sneak peak, we will send a digital collection of images within 24 hours.
Following the wedding, you will receive a digital gallery with a selection of 100 artistically edited (all exit signs, outlets, fire alarms removed - stray hairs, clothing adjustments), non-watermarked images within 3 weeks. The remaining images will receive a standard edit (edited to color and lighting style of the photographer) and will be posted to the wedding gallery within 6 weeks to easily download, share, and order fully edited, finished printed artwork. We are available to walk through suggestions of how to display images and how to create gorgeous collages in your home with our curated products from professional labs.
We will also schedule a design consultation to create your bespoke album with archival printed pages and fully custom cover options. Your cherished album will be delivered within three weeks of finalizing the design.
Invest in what matters most - the actual photography of the wedding day. If the budget does not accommodate both the photography and the album, invest in the photography and save the album for the future. While many photographers in the wedding industry purge their files after a set number of months, we reserve your photographs and suggested album design for an anniversary album option.

Artwork drives our creativity. Commissioning a collage piece unites the best of portraiture and artistry. Session includes photography at two locations (within 40 miles of 48117), design consultation, and one custom collage printed on cotton rag paper and framed with cotton rag mat board and the frame finish of your choice. Digital images remain property of alexiaCREATIVE and will not be available for purchase.

Filling our homes with the things we love and reminders of these special moments drives our photography. Floral Studio Sessions are included with all of our wedding collections and can also be purchased separately for any wedding.
Commission includes studio photography and 12x24" Canvas Print. Digital images remain property of alexiaCREATIVE and will not be available for purchase.
Travel beyond 4.5 hours will be charged a "travel fee" that will convert to minimum 50% print credit with any collection.
We realize some destination resorts require the use of a staff photographer. Custom collections for post-Destination Weddings are available featuring portrait sessions and reception coverage.

After inquiring if your date is available and answering any questions, we will sign a photography contract. An initial deposit of 40% of the collection plus tax is due with the contract to reserve your date.
The second payment (40% of the contracted collection plus tax) is due 90 days prior to the wedding.
A final payment (the remaining 20%) is due a week before the wedding.
Absolutely! Photography is a pursuit of passion and interesting locations fuel creativity.
We have photographed weddings on a blistering hot July day in Hart Plaza, in the crisp summer breeze on Mackinac Island, the gorgeous fall colors of Traverse City, and an absolutely frozen February on a glacier in Alaska.
Travel within 4.5 hours of 48117 included in collections. Travel beyond 4.5 hours will be charged a "travel fee" that will convert to minimum 50% print credit with any collection.
Editing photos refers to the process of adjusting lighting, color, and content digitally.
Every photographer's workflow varies. Some rely on AI for basic edits and outsource album creation. There is nothing wrong with using technology to our advantage; however, I enjoy the artistry of creating images. With my background in film photography, I understand the value of getting a photograph right with the camera, but processing that photo for print has always been part of the creation of a photograph and I treat it with equal weight. I will not allow an exit sign, a bystander, or a stray hair (within reason) to distract from the perfect image in any printed product.
Filling our homes with the things we love and reminders of these special moments drives our photography. If you opt-in for the Floral Studio Session, we will photograph a centerpiece from your event within 24 hours to preserve the florals with gorgeous art photography to compliment your album and printed portraits.
*Depending on your wedding timeline, arrangements must be made to get the centerpiece to us to photograph.
Our collections start at $4500, with an average initial investment of $6500.
Some couples are content with the products in the initial investment, while others choose to invest after wedding in additional album pages or volumes and wall art (canvases, metal or wood prints, or matted and framed prints).
16x24" metallic canvas art or wooden prints are $350.
Additional album pages start at $35.
Many couples who have hired a photographer offering only digital files ask me to edit their images and create an album. There are copyright laws that often prevent a different photographer from editing another photographer's work, so unfortunately, I cannot offer those services without explicit written permission from the original photographer.
